I used the Q4 this year on my 08 750. The track I go to most often is not really fast but is more of a technical track, really fun. I was getting 1-1.5 decent days out of the rear. They are very sticky though and warm up very fast without warmers. I had some oh crap moments that I just pushed the bike down and hoped for the best and they didn't let me down. I had one day in the rain and if the track has standing water they weren't great, obviously, but damp conditions they did just fine for me. Anyone else using Q4 on the track? What have been your experiences?

Hey momos8,

I haven't tried the Q4, but used the q3's on my 600, similar experiences, they gripped super hard, but didn't last too long, couple of K miles if that and a couple of hours on the track, but I was very confident in them, I may give the Q4's a shot at some point.

Up until this year I had been using Michelins but I heard good things about q4 without warmers and I don't have a great setup for warmers so if I'm somewhere that electric is not convenient I don't worry about. If you're on the fence, I'd give them a try. I was at Road America this year and there was a heavy downpour that left the track with some standing water. It was just me and one of their instructors that lined up for the session and he asked if I had rain tires and when I said no he just shook his head. They were not rain race tires but I was able to have fun all the same.
