Hi, I'm looking to fit a security system to my bike, I'm considering a tracker or an alarm, has anybody got any opinions on which is better, brands, types etc.... Or even type of chain, I watched an interesting video on YouTube where a guy got through all the top brands with a rather larger pair of bolt cutters in less than thirty seconds each..... Very interesting....

I was thinking the same thing. I got a disc lock and a oxford chain.

Hi Gee Rider,

I have always had Meta Systems alarms fitted, currently got a 375t - It's insurance approved so may bring your premiums down a little.

I did have a Datatool System 3 many years back and it was forever false alarming, so took it off.

I use an Oxford Boss disc lock alarm too, just as a visual deterrent, but it also scares the cats away that brush up and knock it

Have a look at Almax chains. They are pricey but very very good and have saved my gsxr numerous times.

That vid is from Almax, I hear they were banned from bike shows because the other manufacturers kicked off.... I don't think they are overly pricey I think a 2m s3 chain was about 120.. Cheers for the recommendation ....
