Hi. just bought a 2004 gsxr600. My first 600 after riding a 250. Really happy with it. It's the black with orange decals.
Anyway the engine sounds nice, but I am getting a clunking sound from the right side of engine (internal).
As I go to engage the clutch, the clunking stops. From experience I am fairly certain it is the clutch basket torsion springs.
Has anyone had a go at replacing these springs or adding shims to take up the slack?
Shifting is also a little clunky, most likely due to the same problem.
