So i leave my work at lunch to get my kike and nip home. some little twat from my work had their bike (BMX piece of shite) upside down with the front wheel resting on my seat and the pedal scuffing my frame - the bitch denied she did it and now no one knows anything and has been recorded as a prank.

One of the stickers has a scratch through it too.

I'm so mad.

Removing skuffs all depends on how deep it is. To polish out you are removing surrounding material. If its not too deep you may get it out or at least improve it.

Just a thought if you have not done this before is it will look a lot worse before it starts to look better. If you know what i mean.

It would not be me doing anything. i would not let myself near my bike with a tool like that. i would screw it up.

i was thinking a specialist -- its not that bad, but if it was easy/common to get done then i would.

I myself have not heard of any specialist who remove scratches from metalwork. that dont mean there is none. there are plenty who will fix paint work damage but thats not as involved.
I have done my fair share of polishing, one of my pics shows the ZX7R i had and i did the polish work on that but to polish alloy the paste is abbrasive and removes the top of the metal by a few microns but to repair alloy you would need to use wet and dry to take the surface down and then polish it out. Like you say scary if your not confident.

just another thought. Is yours a shiny frame or a black one? If its shiny you will end up having the whole lot polished

I would never take my bike to work, I recently bought a £3,000 Snapon toolbox and I had afew days off and when I went back to work there was a dent in the side! my piss was boiling, but as usual it was Mr Foooking nobody.

And thats the reason for never taking my bike to work.

There are people at my work who have spent loads on Snap-on or Mac boxes and now they are scared stiff of damage plus every day seems to be a polish fest.
I myself use a none descript box i bought second had about 15 years ago which dont look pretty but when they back a truck into it(which has been done) i dont loose much sleep over it.

I have never had a new toolbox, I always had a shitty box but a bloke on the night shift ran over my cheapo toolbox with an artic so Scania bought me a 2nd hand Snapon tool box for £500 so when Snapon came round I asked how much would you give me for my box against a new one! £2,000 he said:eek: as the new box was £2,400+vat, he then asked how are you paying. I said cash so he said give me £400 and we will call it even!!!

Sweet! Those things are awesome, not that I'm massively mechanically minded, but what man wouldn't want one of those things!

I've been to Birstall loads of times when I was on night shift to pick up parts etc we have probably met.

Maybe so. I have often had a run out to to pick bits up but have also worked there because if there was a traumatic electrical job at Normanton i had to go and try and sort it.

All electrical jobs are traumatic :) I hit things with big hammer and use the gas axe:)
