Just joined so thought I'd say hi. Still early new rider and new to bikes having passed me test back in May this year.
Started my motorcycling journey last year when I decided to build my first bike from parts, a 1st gen sv650 streetfighter, finished that just before I passed my test and quickly got bored of it after a few months, sold it And bought my current, K1 GSXR750, and Love it
Bought it as a slightly neglected bike that had been stood a little while, was a bit rough around the edges, needed brakes, chain, sprockets and cush rubbers after a little.test ride, but could see the bike had potential.
A few months on I've brought the bike to where she is now, she's gleaming and has had the following goodies:
Pipercross filter
Ngk Iridium plugs
Full k4 1000 system and link pipe mates to the existing yoshi stubby
NITRON R2 rear shock
K5 600/750 front end with radial calipers refurbed by myself, brembo SC pads, braided lines, L6 M/C and EBC discs.
Carrozzeria V-Track forged wheels shod with michi Power RS boots.
Shido lithium battery and a smattering of TI fasteners to held further reduce some weight.
She's now around the 157-158kg (Dry) mark
Absolutely love this bike and even though I've nevercreally ridden anything more modern to compare, she does everything I could wish for
