Just bought a used 07 750 gsxr and took it to the get service. New front tire and oil change and chain adjustment. Why is my check engine light on? What can i do and what potential problem could i be having?

Might be an old warning that needs clearing on the ECU.

If you bought it from a dealer, take it back to them and get them to clear it/check it, otherwise a garage may charge you to clear it.

Was it there just after the front tire/oil change? If so, take it back to them just in case THEY have done something.
