New to the forum, and new to GSXRs in general. The cold weather is killing me. Can't wait to get out and ride my new (to me) bike. For the time being, I'm searching for online communities and resources for these beautiful machines.

I guess I can start off with a question: Has anybody run Armour Bodies supersport bodywork on a '16 750 with the stock exhaust? I have one buddy who told me you can't. Armour Bodies said it'll fit, but they don't recommend it. And I've read accounts of people who have done so using heat shield tape to prevent the pan glass from burning on older models. My painter has already ordered the bodywork, and I want to leave the exhaust and fueling stock (for now), so I'm trying out that last option with Woodcraft's 3/16" Super High Temp heatshield tape first. Just wondering if anyone else has done this successfully on the L1-L6 without burning your pans.

Cheers!

Edit: guess I'll add some pics of my new girl. Picked her up off Craigslist a few days ago with just 263 miles on her.

HI mate, welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new myself as have just bitten the bullet and got back into biking after driving cars for the last 25 odd years. Sweet looking ride you have there mate, looks the business for sure. Afraid I can't help you with your technical question but I am sure you will find the answer somewhere on the forum as these guys are pretty clued up. Is your bike in your house ? My missus would boot me out for sure if I suggested putting my bike in the house!

Hang tight and stay lucky bud
