Hi to all on the forum, I ride a 600 K5 that I have had for just about a year now. Its not my first GSXR as I have had a 750 SRAD in the past. I ride mainly on the road and now the bike is sorted I think a track day or 2 at Oulton Park will be the plan for next year...here is a bit about my bike and the work carried out to date:
Acquired August 2018 from a local dealer. Bike has reasonable service history but clearly in the last few years was used as a commuter. Brakes partially seized on, rear suspension linkages fully seized
Fully stripped and rebuilt front and rear suspension, stock springs changed for new Ktech and oil changed to suit rider weight, stock valving left in place as bike currently out performs the rider!! Suspension rebuild carried out by TW Suspension Tech
Standard Tokico Front brake callipers fully rebuilt and refinished, stainless pistons, EBC discs added, EBC HH Sintered pads, HEL brake lines to replace stock aged rubber hoses. Standard Nissin Rear calliper fully rebuilt and refinished, stainless pistons. Front master cylinder replaced with a Brembo RCS19 and rear master cylinder left as standard and fully rebuilt. All bearings in swing arm, suspension linkages, head-stock and wheels checked and replaced as necessary.
New Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres
New Renthal sprockets, standard front and 1 up on the rear with a new DID VXGB 520 chain.
New top fairing as original was damaged, solo seat pod added, carbon front mudguard added as the one fitted to the bike was a patent part and was damaged. Giles adjustable rear sets fitted.
Loads of cleaning, checking and polishing of various parts to ensure the bike works as it should
Standard headers, removed, cleaned and painted with VHT paint. Last foot of exhaust on show in good condition so left as polished and unpainted. Bolt on can by Max Torque fitted to the bike when I got it, have the original Suzuki silencer.
