Hi all. New to the forum, but not to riding. Been riding for decades, have 4 honda sportbikes and a ZX in the garage now. Done all my own work for decades. Full working shop with tools, lift, etc.
My question: I have a friend with a 1988 GSX-R 750 and there's a potential for a sale to me perhaps. With a couple of my older Honda's, parts were NLA in the US and I had to get parts from forum members all around the world in order to do some carb work, brake work, valve adjustments, etc.
Came here to ask "what's the parts availability for older GSX-R's here in the US?" Still lots of stuff at local dealers, or is it a huge PITA to track and find stuff, and you have to resort to ebay and bike junkyards? Trying to gauge if this is something to pursue or not.
The bike has sat in in his garage since...1995 maybe? 100% complete. 10-20k miles. Thanks for every response.
