New bike for commute

Hi all,

Im looking for some experiences from you.

I would like to buy a new motorcycle for commuting, I have looked at an Kawasaki Z1000 2015 and an BMW S1000r 2015, anybody have some experiences with these bikes?

Did you buy a new bike yet? If so what did you get? If not, I don't have any experience with those bikes specifically but have put quite a few miles on other "naked" style bikes. How far do you have to commute? What kind of speed will you be traveling at? The biggest problem I ever had with a fairing-less bike is wind and obviously that would be worse at higher speed and less tolerable if your commute is longer. Both look great though!
