My 2004 1000 has been making a grinding noise when starting. It's like a gear has some teeth that are bad but once I get it warmed up it doesn't do it. I replaced the starter and checked out the other gear and it's still making that noise. I'm thinking starter clutch even though when I checked it out it acted fine and only turn's in one direction. Anyone else run into this issue ? Please help.
