Evening all. First post and first Suzuki in my possession, a GSXR 400 Slingshot. Been riding a Yamaha RD 250 E for the last 3 years, sorry is the Y word banned here??? 
Anyhoo the GSX is a non-runner at the moment purely due to the fact the battery has stood without charge for 3+ years. That's easily remeded, no worries.
My first real question is what would I need to check before starting her up for the first time? I guess new engine oil and fresh petrol are givens. I wonder if the carbs would need a clean out? Air filter as new.
It's been stored in a dry garage and outwardly seems in reasonable nick, aside from a thin layer of dust.
