Loose gear selector lever

Anyone else experienced this.

I've purchased a 600 K3 recently and the gear selector lever is quite loose.

I've tightened the allen key at the back and this has made no difference. I've inserted a spacer into the setup as well to reduce the slack.

This has made some difference (positive) but will loosen up over time.

Anyone else experienced this? Do I just need to replace the whole selector setup?

I will take it apart and inspect it for wear. Maybe it was never lubricated and with the time the gap increased. Better check and replace than calling a tow truck on the side of the road...

EDIT: put some thread locker on it!

Sorry should have explained better - the "looseness" is in the left to right plane not up and down.

Suspect its the bush/bearing/shim inside the lever itself.

I am not mechanical so would lead you astray with any suggestion I might make, BUT, wouldn't it be nice if several of the folk who view this site could come to your help. Thanks to the previous two who have tried to help out. One day it may be you asking for some advice and wouldn't it be nice, if instead of 27 views and no help, you got 25 offers of advice.
