Hi all, just making first post followed by waiting for one hour so I can down load a service manual.

Had loads of bikes, and still have a gsxr1000 K3. Can't let it go. Ever.

Trying to do an oil change, cant get the pop out rivits from the underneath that join the two halves of the fairing.

Do I push from underneath first? Cant remember.

Thanks

No, the three studs underneath pull towards the floor. The rivits behind the fairing as seen from the front, push centre to release.

Also remove the bottom two allen key studs on the front left bottom side to release the grill, which comes away with the fairing on the right (offside).
The oil drain plug is a 17mm socket and torques to 16.5 ft lbs (or tight as it says in my manual).

Two full turns for the oil filter from the point at which the rubber toutches the engine.

Hope that helps someone else.
