Help needed please👍 Ignition swap not starting 🤨 gsxr 750 k5

Hi, recently bought a 2005 k5 gsxr 750, upgrade from my 1999 r6,
I have snapped the key in the ignition, due to it being stiff “stored outside “
I bought a replacemt copy ignition off eBay, I’ve plugged it in,
And when switched on only the headlight comes on, no signs of starting , or even the speedo light up...

I’ve been searching google , and have come across a resistor in the ignition switch ... I’ve searched on my old ignition switch and the resistor is there and the new one it ain’t

So now I can’t even start the bike any suggestions would be great ,
Only now bought the bike and I’m doing it up

where is the bike from because if its not us version I'm pretty sure there I immobilizer in it that's the way it is on the 06-07 atleast best bet is to get the manual offline to find out

Thanks for reply, not sure if it’s a us version or not , didn’t even know there was different versions hahah,
Only had it a month, and now this ....
I’ve scoured the net and can’t seem to find anything out ....

By the looks I’ll be biting the bullet and paying a mechanic to have a look, now as can’t find any info ��

Thanks for the reply... all sorted now bought a genuine ignition and starts fine now �� genuine is always better than cheap eBay Chinese rubbish leason learnt ��
Was something to do with the anti theft device in the old ignition and not in the copies one ��
No imobiliser “chipped key “ on mine so lucky really would have cost a lot more ��
