I have recently bought a 2005 GSXR600 ex road race bike. It has an STM slipper clutch (FSU-S040) which is slipping under high engine load. Over the Christmas hols I am planning on removing and inspecting the assembly. The STM installation instructions specify that the total thickness of the clutch plate kit must be 47.7mm. Does anyone have the height measurement of the OEM clutch plate stack height? Also, has anyone on the forum got experience of the STM clutch? I would have expected an operating range from STM, not just 47.7mm.
