Gsxr1000 k5 or k9 ?

Hi

I'm new to this forum , just a quick question, in a couple of weeks I'm looking to get my hands on a new gixer 1000 with around £5k to spend of my hard earned cash ... do I look into getting to a k5/k6 because of the engine , or get as newer reg as I can get my hands on ??

If it was me I'd be going for the k6/k7 option. I used to have a k6 750 and the handling was spot on, so much so I honestly didn't even want the 1000

Hello and welcome ! I recently bought a low mileage K6 as a longterm investment, they are definitely a future classic and prices for mint originals are steadily rising. However, I love riding it so much I'm looking for another just so I can ride more - amazing bikes, you won't be disappointed !
