Hi, was wondering if anyone can help me..... I bought a K6 750 in black and I absolutely love her! My only problem is that I took her to my local track (castle coombe) and even with the standard exhaust it wouldn't pass the archaic 105db limit! It was registering 108 at 10500rpm. I've recently changed my exhaust to a voodoo slip on which is borderline abusive.

Does anyone know of an exhaust that can be fitted so I can get my Gixer on track? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

contact MHP - MHP Exhaust

they do an ally oval can with stainless link and reckon its below 100db without a baffle! (by ACU testing method) - combe is different, but i have seen a k6 on track there with a long pipe.

i'm getting one made for my k6 600

Is there any other track you can get to? Castle Coombe is one of the strictest tracks out there and a standard exhaust on a k6 is fine at other tracks. I used to have a K6 600 and the standard exhaust never measured that high, even my full yoshi race exhaust only measured 105 db which meant I could do the loud track days.

Thinking about it, sounds like they may have measured it wrong, usually the test is done at somewhere between 6000 to 8000 revs not at 10,500.

Thank you for your replies, I will definitely look into the MHP exhaust! There are other tracks around but the majority of tracks all enforce the 105db limit! The standard exhaust on the GSXR 750 is 108db at 3/4 of the rev range, that is standard practice when testing noise limits for track.

Things must have changed recently then, it used to be tested at about half the rev range.
