New to this forum, so please bear with me. I have had my beloved GSXR750M for some 6 years now, though it has been off the road now for 3 of those, as I wanted to do a complete overhaul, one thing led to another and now I am in a position to do something with this.
However, one of the reasons for taking it off the road was that the top of the right fork between the yolks, had the anodising rubbed off by one of the cables over the years, and to my horror, the salt and weather got in there and one day I saw a big 2 inch blister develop. When I touched this, it crumbled under my touch. I ended up having to grind away the corrosion and smear it with grease to stop it getting worse. It is rideable and fine, but is just unpleasant to look at and know about. As a result I want to replace these. However, after some research it seems being the first of the upside downers, this is the only model that uses these particular forks. Just to clarify, this is a GSXR750M - last of the air cooled/oil cooled bikes and first of the upside down forks - Year of Manufacture 1991
Does anyone have a spare set of forks for this model that they would like to part with for the right sum of money?
