So here is where I am at. I picked up a cali spec L6 750 theft recovery and it needed a new wiring harness.
Not knowing any better I purchased a 49 state harness and it does not include a few wires (and a 2 pin connector) that the Cali spec bike has.
C62 is "EVAP System Purge - Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Malfunction". Stupid Cali thing...
I saw on another forum where a guy spliced in a 50 ohm (10 watt) resistor between pin 61 and pin 12 but that was on a k7 600.
I tried it on my L6 and had no luck. The wiring has changed a little and I am in need of a pic of the diagram and ECU pin key.
