So I have acquired a 2002 GSXR1000. The bike has been sitting for sometime, probably 2-3 years so first thing I did was clear old gas out of tank, clean fuel pump, and cleaned the injectors. The bike will rev up to high rpm if you ease on the throttle but if you go WOT it will die. The other issue I'm having is that the cluster gauge doesn't display speed or codes. The backlight works, the left side neutral, signal, high beam lights all work, but no tach and no speed. I really need to get this cluster working to see what codes it's throwing. Any tips would be appreciated!! P.s. I have adjusted the TPS, and stps a little and that has helped with the throttle issue but i want things to be as close to perfect as they can be.
