So my goal is to break 200 mph on my 22 gixxer 1000. Would stepping down a tooth on the front sprocket allow me to do this? (of course the ecm will be flashed 1st)

wouldn't that drop your top speed? think you meant add a tooth.
but here's a link to gear calculator:
gear ratio calculator

here's link for the Sprocket company.
JT Sprocket
so from looks, it recommends the

520 Chain Conversion

go with either a 38T(211mph theoretical) or 39T(206mph theoretical) rear sprocket and keep the factory Front 17T sprocket.
should probably buy the full kit(front & back sprocket, plus Chain)
Make sure you have the right speed based tires for that speed.
Not sure if the hayabusa Front fender(speed based one) fits this model, but, seen people use that for an extra 1mph boost.

not sure what else you would need but recommend giving this Tuner videos a watch:
Brocks Performance
Moores Mafia is also a good one:
Moore Mafia gsxr1000

you can lower the front maybe 1" to decrease drag a bit, heard that's also good for 1mph boost.
are you participating on 1-2mile competitions?

Thanks for the suggestions. Seems you know a thing or two. I just have a personal goal to break 200 mph. Definitely gonna be safe about it. I like what you said about the gender and lowering the front. How fast have you been?
Thanks again

Fender not gender!!!!
Lol, yeah, was thinking that was what you meant. There's a edit button below posts.
Not fast at all 🤣🤣🤣 but, I tried tricks to eek out what I could from each little motorcycle I had. The little tricks add up at the end.
Found a fender specific for gsxr1000. Not sure if fully compatible with the 2022 model though.
