Hi just joined the site some great stuff on ere been riding bikes since i was 12 years old must have rode and owned 50 or so diff bikes from mopeds to ducati panigalie ive had a break for 2 years due to some bad health but on the mend now. So i decided to buy a 2001 gsxr 1000 of a friend had a few probs with it but getting it sorted now. Im 55 now and get the same buzz i got when i was 21 riding my bike bikes have came a long way since i was a kid but the thing that has struck me most is performance and cost my panni cost me £15000 new it had all the tricks electronics pulled like a train handeld like it was on rails but at the end of the day i was all ways worried i was gonna bin it and with a bike costing that amount of money its allways on your mind. Ive just paid £1200 for the gsxr ive got a repair bill due to the petrol pump going wrong but thats a cheap repair. Before it went wrong i was out most nights after work enjoying the bike the handling the power and the fun my point is you dont have to spend a fortune to enjoy your self on a bike performance and handling wise i can go just a quick if not quicker on my gsxr and get just as much fun. The bike should be back early next week just waiting for the part to turn up then i might be lucky enough to get a couple of months of good weather to have some fun.
