Engine cutout

I have a 2004 gsxr 600 when I get to about 6k rpms the engine just shuts down until it’s back down to around 5. If I downshift before 6k and my rpms go past I can use the second half of my rpm. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Put the bike in dealer mode and check for error codes.
Is the FI light on?

If there is problem with the STVA it can be repaired, just need some soldering skills.
