Blew Up My Engine (time for a replacement)

So as you can see from the video below my K1 750 engine is knackered, so I'll be after a new one.

Ideally after another K1/K2 750 engine as the Y has a dodgy gearbox. I was wondering though - does any other 750 (or maybe 1000cc) engine fit in my K1 frame?

I tried asking on the GixerJunkies facebook page but their technical knowledge doesn't stretch beyond what blue anodised tat to fit.

That thing sounds fucked but I honestly think you'd be better off just stripping and repairing it. No point buying another 2nd hand motor which could fail soon after. Motors really are simple at the end of the day, if you remove the engine and strip down the ancillaries and take it to an engine shop they don't charge that much to fix it in most cases. I recently spent about 20k on building a new engine for my car and most of that cost was parts, the labour was bugger all.
