Hi. Having problems with starting my 1985 GSXR 400 gk71b import. I have changed it to electronic ignition with new coils and plugs. Carburettors have been ultrasonic cleaned, with new starter nets. Float heights have also been set.
When I first replaced the carburettors the bike started straight away and would start if the engine was warm. The same pattern occurred several times, then I could not get the bike started
I stripped the carburettors and cleaned, (no dirt found due to inline fuel filter). Replaced the carburettors and it started. The bike will not start currently , but it appears every time I clean the carburettors and replace, I can get it to start. I am starting to think the carburettors are faulty.
Any advice would be much appreciated

I can’t be much help yet as I am picking up one of these shortly(if it looks ok).

I can contribute once I start getting it into running condition.

I was wondering if you have the stock mirrors on your bike. I know the one I’m looking at does not.

Hope you get this massage.

Cheers
Scott
