So I've been looking for a nice, cheap starter bike. On Craigslist and local shops there are a ton of GSX-R for sale and the majority of them are $2,000 and under.

Is there a reason they are all so cheap? I looked at a couple today and they seem like they are in perfect condition, started right up, no issues. Take into consideration they all have like 15-30k miles, but it's just hard for me to believe a 7 or 8 year old 750cc bike can be so cheap english news capread. GSXR's are common "hooligan" bikes. Meaning they're common for people who barely know anything about bikes to buy and abuse.
It's about the same as buying a used honda civic. Not to say it's a bad thing though. Just make sure it's in good condition, and I don't mean the exterior.
