Follows from GK71 bitza.
Back at home I had some other wheels and with a short time on the lathe to make the front spacers it was in. A matching caliper was aquired along with a GK76 rear wheel (not fitted when photo taken)
The next outing was again to the same track but on a Practice day the Friday before the races.
It was going really well as it is a small and twisty track. No need for big top speeds.

Good weather, nice and warm. Brilliant brakes, what could go wrong.....

Ouch........
Now this changed my mind on why racers should not continue after a fall.
My son collected the bike while I had the compulsory medical check. He pushed it back, checked it, started it , pulled the brake and clutch ok.
I came back to go again, pulled the front brake with some force and the brake lever snapped at the pivot where it had been cracked in the fall.
It is repaired now but has been sleeping in the garage for a couple of years .
Must try it again
