I have a L1 track bike and a spare L0 front& rear wheel & need wheels for the rain tyre.
I posted the following on gixxer.com and thought it might be of some interest here as well

The front measurements:-
  1. the L1 axle is 22.2 mm dia, 3 mm smaller than the L0.
  2. The distance between rotors is 1.5 mm less on the L1, which might not be a huge problem.
  3. The rotor thicknesses are the same.
  4. The distance between bearings outside to outside is the same.
  5. the L1 wheel is 500 gm lighter
My feeling is that a sleeve on each side would solve the problem.

The L0 rear sprocket carrier uses 5 dogs while the L1 uses 6, and since I don't have an L0 sprocket carrier, and don't want to buy or carry one, I'll skip attempting to convert the L0 rear

The L0 front wheel fits perfectly in position with the L1 axle in place & calipers installed. The rotors line up nicely within the calipers. So no issues with the caliper/rotor positions.
The L0 seals are 32x52x7.5 while the L1 seals are 28x44x7, & there IS a 28x52x7 seal, so that would work .... but,
the L0 bearings are 25x52x15 & the L1's are 22x44x12. There are no 22x52x15 bearings, so that's not an option. There is a 22x50x15 but that just moves the problem elsewhere. Pity. That would have been elegant.

However, all is not lost. Just 2 sleeves are needed, Left & Right, to fit the 22mm axle to the 25 mm bearings, and to accommodate the L0 seals.

The axle would have to move 3 mm to the right to accommodate the RH Sleeve step, but there is just enough thread on the LHS to allow this.
The LH Sleeve sets the spacing to the left fork leg in place of the L1 spacer. An added benefit is that it won't fall out while fitting the wheel.

It fits.

The axle now protrudes 2mm & is a slightly more snug fit than on the L1 wheel.
The nut fully engages the thread & it pulled up to 100 N.m no problem.

The sleeves drawing in case someone else wants to do it.
Material is 6061-T651 [7075 would be better, but I didn't have any in round bar]
